When I shift into second in my LX, sometimes there's nothing like it's in neutral. It feels like it goes in normal but there's nothing. When downshifting it usually just grinds when I let off the clutch. This doesn't always happen and it feels normal other than the grinding obviously. I'm guessing the gear is stripping out?

If it goes into gear then I wouldn't say stripped necessarily. like said above it could be a few different things. When I took mine out (grinding into second all the time) I found the syncros were gone and the little teeth on the second gear for the sycnros were done. but the actual gear was fine. I rebuilt it and runs like a champ. Still feels a little tight but I think that is because I was use to it being soo sloppy.
