Securing Liscense plates?

for the front,what I would do(but i dont) is put some velcro to the plate and put it on the grill so its not permanent.

Isnt there a bracket for the rear so you dont have to use nuts??

Put your licenes plate under your front window on top of the dash. thats what i do i never got told i need to fix it.

as for the rear on mine stays there so i have nothing to say about that.

On all my cars (including my Mustang), the license place bracket has square holes. Some of the cars have four holes per plate, and some of the cars have two holes per plate. Since I live in Oklahoma we don't have front plates, so I usually just take the whole thing off the car, bracket and all.

At the auto parts store they sell special plastic gizmos that stick in the holes, and then you put a sheet metal screw through the plate and into the gizmo. The sheet metal screw makes the plastic spread out a little, holding the license plate in place.

I can't remember exactly what they are called, but it is something really simple like "license plate retainer." It seems like they are in those red packages that say HELP! on them.

You can get them with either a screw head or a bolt head, depending on the look you want.
