Hey I was just wondering what their is for options to allow one to tune their own car currently. The only thing i can really find that i like the looks of is the Sniper Special Forces kit.

Ive done some tuning on a few different cars including a turbo del sol and a 383 tpi corvette and would like to tune my own car but it seems we are limited for user oriented tunning programs.

So just looking to see if anyone nows of any options.

+1

ive tuned many DSM's with DSMlink, and the above is pretty much its equavilent.

Sniper's SF is good too, i have yet to see it in person.

otherwise the handhelds are pretty much just for low end stuff and simplistic procedures (gear change, rear o2 delete, etc)

i just got another dsm and cant wait to get back into tuning it with dsmlink.

I know someone who had their car tuned with Sniper software. Good stuff from what I hear.

Since you have a 96 I would suggest tweecer. It will let you do everything the other software packages do, but it is cheaper. There isn't much documentation that comes with it, but the support on the furums is very good.
