Sell the 65 or the 72?

Put them in the front yard (off of the street and put them up on blocks). You can easily tie it up for two years in court. It will take them 6 months of warnings just to get to filing in court part.

I almost bought a house with an HOA and a stupid rule about no working on cars in your garage....they were so tight they meant you couldn't change your oil at home.

On other thing, most HOA rules are no legally enforcable, they just bully you into thinking they are.

But if you do sell, sell the 72.

Oboe, you don't really want to let either car go; and I can help you out! I can locate a very nice concrete slab in a low-humidity environment not too far frrom Mesa for you to store the '72 - after all, it's the bigger vehicle. Also, you might consider that these older vehicles do not respond well to being "put up"; so you might consider an having "older" (early 40's or so) person to "gently exercise" the old girl - which I'm willing to arrange as well! And I can promise you that the rates for storage and exercise will be extremely reasonable for you

All I have to do is explain to NoKitten that his Bronco is moving to new digs out on the street; and it will be a done deal.

Uh-huh. Sure. More likely, it'd be put in the carport, and both Bell and Dammit would be relegated to the slab. I'd be willing to make sure it's in proper working order (mechanic on property)

If you really want to keep them both, and don't mind pissing off a few nuts....then just do it. Most of the time the people in a HOA are the crazy particulars who have nothing better to do than nitpick. We had a boat for a few years that the HOA continually tried to get us to move. Once I explained that they would have to kill me or bring me to court before the boat was moved.....it pretty much stopped everything.

All in all, if the cars don't look bad out front, no one will say anything.

However, it is vey likely that the Stang would live in the carport.

I would also say go with the 65. Their value tends to be and rise better than a 72s, plus theres the sentimental value.

On a side note, I hate the homeowners association at my house in socal.

My ma-in-law lived in a new developement with a HOA. But everyone within the community fealt that some rule about parking was stupid. They banned together and had the rule changed.

I'd just sell the '72 though. If the rules were changed some neighbors may abuse the new freedom and property values could decline or not appreciate as fast as you'd like. obviously something to consider since you'll be selling in a couple years.

It's not like the '72 is a real classic anyway j/k
