Roush series II... overheating issues???

ive been asking around about any info regarding install and performance about the supercharger im about to put on my 03gt, and all u guys have been very helpful. however 99% of the people on a "local" forum have nothing to say but a bunch of crap about how tis only gonna add 50hp and itll overheat and blow up the car.

i know eatons run hotter than, say vortechs, but is there any way to help them run cooler?

also how much rwhp could i expect to see with a series 2, 66mm pulley, 75mm TB, focus fuel pump, 36lb injectors, mac prochamber, and magnaflow exhaust with a good tune?

i can not be for sure but i have the o4 blower which i am rated at 375 hp and the series II is rated at 365hp when i got my car dynoed i seen 310rwhp and i think 350rwtq but that was stock number exept i have the 2004 blower which i think is different.

I had mine on for 2 years with the chicane 66mm pulley and Ripp kit and got 335rwhp and 355 tq.It's actually a decent blower for the street.For the price of a used one it is a pretty good buy.

Add Water Wetter to your intercooler. That dropped my charge temp by almost 30 degrees. With similar mods I was getting about 365rwhp & 405rwt.

1 oz. of Water Wetter per quart of the cooling system. Greater than 15% but less than 50% antifreeeze/water mixture works best with the Water Wetter for street applications.

I forgot to add in my previous post; you can also add methanol injection which not only cools your charge temp, but adds a bunch of horsepower for free.

This goes back a couple years and I believe it was discussed on the “other board”, where Saleen employees frequently contributed their knowledge. It was either John Spruill (sp?) or Billy Tally who chimed in on a thread discussing Water Wetter. If memory serves me correctly, Saleen stated that in their testing, intercooler efficiency was diminished due to deposits attributed to the Water Wetter in the system.

yes i am going to get it dynoed after the water/methanol injection but i will probably not get it till summer.
