Here is a picture of our turbine at work it produces 400,755HP. I was inside to day crawling around in it doing some work pretty damn cool. We have another one that is alittle smaller that produces 255,000HP

isnt that thrust not horse power?

not sure the engineer said thats what it makes for HP. I thought the samething figured it would be like the Jet Car that ran down at PIR. I'll ask the mitsubishi guys tommorow and find out. Pretty spendy the one pictured cost 40mil

2 types of turbines, thrust producing (jets) and torque producing (helos). Most likely shaft horsepower, SHP.

PGE......... were building a new power plant thats the bigger one of the two we also have a smaller one that produces half the amount of the bigger one.

Your probaly right i'll ask the little Japanese's guys that are running around from mitsubishi today and find out for sure.

All HP is just work, in can be provided in any way

Work = force x distance


In our cars the force is torque which is classified as a rotational force, and in this thing thrust is the force.

That thing doesn't make nearly as much power as the HEMI I have on a go-kart.

You are correct talk to the Mitsubishi guys today it is rated at the shaft. They said it makes some thrust but not alot.

lol ya....... I've been trying to figure out how to get it to fit in my stang. I said that to the mitsubishi guy and he goes I have also been thinking the samething.

Then you can put the smaller one on the fuel truck that follows you around....
