I've looked at the flow numbers and stuff and according to the chart in the FAQ, the Cobra is a close second only to the Eddy Performer for an N/A setup. I don't know what that actually translates to in an N/A setup, but I don't think I could justify spending $600 for whatever small gain you would get witht he Eddy unit over the Cobra intake.

cobra intakes are fine but i would go for the trick flow unit the black unit looks really cool and it really gives your car some extra power, you can get it new shipped for a little over 400

All of this stuff is based on what your goal is!

If you want more performance than what the Cobra intake can offer then you step up to the Performer.

If you want more performance than what the Performer can offer then you step up to the RPM.

And so on!

You are dealing with the age old problem of ....................

As you make more power or get quicker, the gains become smaller even though the cost is larger.

If you have a fixed goal in mind then you know not to waste money, time, or effort on lesser performing combo parts.

I do understand what you are saying and that is why I did the things that gave the most gain for the buck spent first.

Take a look at my sig and you'll see I did just that.:D

There is nothing wrong with the cobra the eddy out flow it a bit more. But the cobra has been able to support darn near all street combos. Tmoss posted a dyno sheet camparison on a 347 were a cobra whent against a trick flow unit, the cobra was able to hang with the TF up to 6000 rpms. I'm pretty sure it just had the lower ported ask tmoss he knows.

If you already have a cobra manifold, I wouldn't do more than get a port/polish job on it before going to other mods. Tmoss will do his magic for like $100 I think. I would guess that $600 will get you alot more in other areas than upgrading from the gt-40.

Well said..:nice:

Out of all the changes to my car, I still run an unported Cobra.
I like the Cobra intake and will prob never change it. If I start running 800+ hp then I might change but that's a long time away.
You're fine with the Cobra man so save the $$, IMO.
