Serp belt rubs

Why would my serp belt rub on my lower mounting bolt on my alternator.It looks like it has been rubbing awhile. Anybody else with this problem

Is the belt routed the stock way? Are you running pullies? Did you ditch A/C or smog? Stock lenght belt? WHat year Mustang?

Sometimes when you move accesories and delete some, you need to run the belt the other way around the water pump, so it goes to the WP from the crank last instead of first. (or was it the other way around?)

if clearance is an issue,, you can move the alternator over 1.. if you look at the alternator there is an extra hole that you can move it over a little.. I dont exactly know you'r setup to say exactly what the problem could be though.

Sorry bout that. It is a 1990 with all stock pullies and nothing removed. I put in a 3G alt.
