Serpentine Belt Help

My smog pump locked up and ended up killing my belt. I got a 84.5'' belt so I can bypass the pump, but I cant get it on? How do I adjust the tensioner so I can get it over all the pulleys? Anyone have a diagram on how to best setup the belt? Its a stock 91 5.0.

It goes just like the original, but not over the smog pump.

If it's too short, you will have to get a longer belt.

They do vary some.

It's probably just as easy to replace the pump and be done with it.

Were you just asking how to lift the tensioner?

The bolt in the center of the tensioner pulley is left/reverse threaded, to allow you to raise the tensioner without loosening the bolt.

All you need is a breaker bar and an 18mm socket, and one arm.
