Hey everyone. I am trying to fine tune my 03 Cobra. Right now I have my base pressure at 50psi and running FRPP 80lbs injectors. I have attached the data sheet for these injectors. How in the world do I take what is on that sheet and translate it to what goes in Tuner studio. Also my base pressure is different than what the datasheet has. How in the world do I translate that. Is there any calculators? Thanks for any advice!

Ok here ya go, please take note the fuel pressure used in the top left of the spreadsheet. Currently set to 40psi just alter this and the sheet will automatically readjust.

Since most have a hard time with the sheet i just plugged the numbers in for you at 50psi

Thank you sir. One more question. Here is the Tuner Studio screen. This is where I input the data correct? I put the .460483962 into the A(ms) field and then slide the blue dots to match (X,Y) axis of (8,376.77). Which curve is best to edit? is there an easy way to manually input the (X,Y) or do you just drag till correct?
Sorry trying to not blowup my car haha.

Yes, however it's much easier to hit the box with dots in it..(top right of the curve dialog) it will give you a table to manually input the values.

No problem, these tables and such can seem intimidating at first but you will get it. If you need anything else let me know.

Well I updated the Curve and dead time and she now just idles all over the place. Also the boost is off by about 10psi. Tuner studio says -7 and boost gauge says -17. If anyone has an visions let me know.

Those curves don't look right for the LU-80 with MS3.
Try this one.

So right before you posted this I put in these numbers from this Cal. I am on 50psi base pressure. It ran much much better. :

Josh, I was curious since i haven't had to mess with MS and Injectors in a while so i found a spreadsheet that will calculate the ford data to MS data accurately. (super valuable to a computer/tuner geek like me) This is not my work but one of the guys from the MS forums. The only discrepancy I noted was the batt voltage offset usually crosses over 100% at 13.2v but he is using 14.0v which isn't a big deal. I did the calcs for you @ 50psi base fuel pressure, but feel free to download and play with it. I would plug these in before tuning, better to build your foundation on since we have them.

Ok so your values are still input wrong. My values are the same as you found in the spreadsheet on the other site, they did NOT scale the values for 50psi. The values I gave you are for the same injector at 50psi base. If you have not done any tuning, the car will not idle.. getting your injector settings set is step1, I can spam random values into these tables and still tune the car.

My suggestion is to pick settings and move forward, both are technically correct for the same injector.

you did not offend at all, I am simply trying to get you setup and moving in the right direction. Most cars get tuned with the base injector settings set to default so dont fret too much over it.

Your AFR signal seems notchy in the datalog, have you gone through and calibrated all the sensors? what wideband are you using?

I am using the old Dynojet Wideband Commander that I installed in 2005. I plan to after christmas switch to dual digital Widebands and 210lb injectors but I wanted to learn on what I have installed now. I been trying to get the software for the wideband commander to see if there is a way to calibrate it but it's old.

I have calibrated a number of the sensors but I need to go back and make sure all are done.

I prefer quality over budget on this car. I have bounce back and forth between twin ZT-3 or twin 14point7s. Please any suggestions would be great!

I am a big fan of 14point7 products, that is what I suggest using for most installs I also use them in my cars. Get the newest ones if you can afford them, canbus connections are superior if supported.

Can bus is supported. Do you feel the 14point7 ADV 3 which is a $100 a sensor more is worth it over the 14point7 Spartan 2?

I do not run the ADV sensors myself due to budget constraints. I have no issues with the spartan2. The adv sensors are more accurate and have a faster response time.
