been browsing the site for the past week trying to take everything in and find my own answers, but I still have a few specifics I would like to ask.
I did the fox body mods when I had my 87', but when I got rid of it I decided I would get a vert' and keep it bone stock so I didnt get the bug again. Now, 3 years later, I am in the process of restoring/upgrading my exterior with the following: (had the saddle interior
) new top (black), new carpet (black), new seat covers by Katzkin, 18x10.5|18x9 03' Cobra rims, urethane stalker front bumper (no fiberglass on the front bumper.. tried that one already) stalkerS2000 rear and side skirts, double stack R, MM wheel spacers, bullit Mach 460 tweeter covers, bullit gas cap, eibach springs, denso plugs and a firewire ignition kit (coil, plugwires, wireholders)
so with the exterior done, I am going to have gears put in. After reading the huge debate between3.73's and 4.10's, I believe I am less certain than when I started. I Plan to have the ceramic BBK FL headers isntalled, and the steeda stainless catback, so with the added flow, will this help out with the mid-high range bog accociated with 4.10's on 2V 4.6L? I am not adding any other performance mods. Please advise me on which to go with. I am leaning more towards the lower gearing, because I dont go over 90 mph anyways (from a performance standpoint) I dont hit the track, highway usage is average. I basically want it for fun factor, nothing more.
Has anyone put the steeda stainless CB on a 96-98 model(it says for 99-03)? I dont see where the difference would be. I would imagine a good shop could install it, but I would hate to pay $550 for a system that wont fit. Last one, sorry this is so long. What speedo gear will fix my speedo if I install the 4.10's/3.73's? do they make a speedo calibration gear for the 3.90? ( I would go with the 3.90 if I can get the fix for my speedo)
Any of you that actually read all this,
thanks. Again I apologize for the long post. I would really apperciate your responses. I will post pics when I get back stateside and pick my car up from the shop. (middle of March)
Cheers
MJ
