i have the base model cd player and it just simply sucks. i can get a good deal on a shaker 500 head unit. my question is it a plug and play swap or do i need special hook up.
The Shakers have subs built into the speakers. I don't think the base system does. I am not an expert on this, someone else will have to say for certain.
But I think it may not be a plug and play.
Im am pretty sure it is just a swap for the shaker 500, i know the ford truck and suv guys have done this swap for their stock ones, gives you the 6-disc in dash and all the other features. I have one for sale too btw.
