Shaker difference

I know the CDC kit is designed to work with the factory GT hood and the KarKraft kit is designed to work with the Mach1 hood but when it comes to mounting the shaker system itself to the engine, is there a difference in the brackets between the two?

I have a Mach1 hood but cannot find the brackets for mounting the shaker system. I called KarKraft to order the entire kit but they don’t have any brackets in stock and they have been waiting several months to get some in.
I need some brackets if anyone knows of an alternative route for mounting the shaker kit on a 16v 4.6L that would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Thanks for the input OxMox

I'll call Ford and see if they can do something for me. I don't have the shaker kit yet, I tried to order it from KarKraft but due to the bracket issue I still need everything for under the hood and the cars back from the body shop today or Monday with a Mach1 hood.

I wonder if Ford modified the 32v Mach1 brackets or if they just fabricated some brackets.

I have the KarKraft kit, and the answer is yes and no.

The main bracket is the same as with the Mach 1.

The front bracket is kludge using a GT's alternator bracket mounted backward and some long bolts with sleeves.

The rear bracket is custom, but nothing fancy.

Matter of fact, I ended up making up my own front bracket. Their long bolt solution is off by about 1/2". That really bothered me seeing the scoop slightly off-center from the hole in the hood. So, I made up my own new bracket with flat stock from Home Depot.

I don't think you can use any of the CDC stuff since their scoop isn't on the same center as the Mach 1 scoop, and therefore, will not fit through the Mach 1 hood's hole.

Thanks GT-03

Flat stock or something similar is something I’ve wondered about, can’t imagine the brackets being too complicated, but wasn’t sure if it’s what I needed, without seeing the shaker itself yet.
