Lot of miles @madspeed, long commute to work? My dad does the same with his 02 Malibu. Bought it with 20k miles in 04, currently has 260k miles.

Just got off the phone with Powermaster, they want me to send this hunk of junk back to them to replace it. Pffft screw that!

They are thinking "what the heck?" too. An inspection is normal. How about getting the store to warranty it? This is strange enough that it is hard to even picture. I could see the extra force of a super tight supercharger belt messing up something with a flaw. But with an almost stock setup, something was loose or had a defect. Or it could have been Voldemort.

I ended up just buying a 95 mustang alternator and regulator harness today. Installing tomorrow thanks to @Noobz347

Ya know... I don't think I've ever thought to look. How much different is the bracket?

The Fox bracket will need to be slightly clearanced to make the alt fit. Easily done with a dremel or hand file.

@Noobz347 @stykthyn I'm not using the factory alt. bracket. It's a summit aftermarket that I used in my blower setup. Check out the Anyone running a HO alternator thread I started please.
