Is shaving down the sides, including the panels, on a '93 a bad idea?? I haven't seen it done and I was looking for pictures of it, any opinions or pictures?

Im still not sure im understanding. you say shave everything... are you talkin about the body lines (creases) body molding? maybe if you threw up a picture of a car and pointed to what youre talkin about, i could help. from what im thinkin you mean, you want to make all of the body panels completely flat and have no contours. if you did that, you would probably end up with a mustang that looked like a scion.

My guess is that he is talking about having no gaps between the doors and fenders, kind of like one piece. If so, I have not seen that done, only on our race cars.

Thats what I was thinking too, but then he'd have to pull a Dukes of Hazards every time he wanted to get in and out of his car.?.?

keep in mind, the shaved door handles always get messed up and end up not working. Good luck!

my stang is shaved symbols, handles locks etc., i was fixing it everyday at first but then i took it apart and studied for a while and relaized that the way my body guy put it together was stupid so i corrected it and havent had a problem ever since. however no one has ever complemented me without me actually pointing out thaT it is all gone or untill they try to get into the car, i think you should save your money and spend it on something more noticeable.

Okay. I'm trying to take the rational side. What happens when you get all this stuff done, and it works great for like six months or so, and then the remote dies. How do you get in? Will there be any body damage, or are the relays, and controls easliy accesible?

You would have to leave the hatch lock in place. Pulling a Dukes of Hazard through the hatch would suck, but I think there is a "secret" pull string mounted somewhere similar to the gas tank pull chord.
