How would someone move a spring shackle mount ?In the rear on the left side frame rail .More or less a metal tube that shacke bushings are mounted.Does the frame man need to be involved?

Why are you wanting to move it?

Not sure just yet. Still waiting on chassis diagram with specs.I think after all I'm going to move only the rear shackle mount, not the entire frame rail.

Is that the rear that came with the car?

Or did you replace it.....your braking system looks very modern for that car.

If you are looking to increase the room underneath for more tire (by moving the spring inward) see the link in my sig to the '66.

I don't believe car has ever been wrecked just the usual rust repair.I did replace the left side trunk floor perhaps disturbing the shackle mount hole, which is directly below the trunk floor.I got the spec sheet and will be measuring it out this weekend.Believe it or not there's enough room for 265 50's mounted on 15 by 8.5 rims to be installed out back.
