Well after a long winter I pulled my 68 mustang outta the garage and took her for a spin While I was on my short trip I turn a corner and theres a group of teenage boys standing in a yard doing whatever of course they're stairing. So what do I do? Turn at the stopsign and hammer on it leaving a cloud of smoke sliding sideways a bit. Get the thumbs up from em and leave and head it back home. It made my day, smiling from ear to ear.
AWWWWWWW MAN!!!!!!!!! I WANT TO DRIVE MINE SO BAD!!!! It has been running for a freaking month, but thanks to some little wiring issue that is throwing off my ignition I can't drive the damned thing!!!!!!
Anyway congratulations to man who does get to enjoy his car. Hopefully I can join you soon.
Both my wife and I entered our cars in the local Mustang Club's show last month. Wife has a bone-stock '67 vert (inline 6) and I've got a '68 coupe with a warmed up 302. The show was held at a local Ford dealership. To get in and out of the show, you had to go past the "guard shack" which was in from the street about 100 yeards down a single lane drive. Anyhow, on exiting the show, there was a long line of Mustangs stopping at the guard shack and then proceeding down the 100 yard exit drive. When I got up to the window (wife behind me in her '67 vert) the guards held up a big sign that said "Burn 'Em". So I stopped next to the guard shack and proceeded to "light it up" all the way down the 100 yard exit drive. My wife said they were all going crazy .
Of course after that major burn-out, my wife had to explain that she couldn't do one because she has a whimpy 6 under the hood LOL
