No I'm pretty sure everything is fine because I shut it off instantly! It was a ford 4v high volume pump

do you think the underdrive crank pulley caused the oil pump failure?

How large is the fitting on the oil discharge from the turbo?

I only ask because a guy on a local forum had an issue with the turbo oil drain not moving enough oil. I'd think this problem would be even worse with a high volume pump. Check out this thread. He ended up changing the drain fitting to -12 (3/4") and his issue was resolved. Might be worth looking into, to avoid a similar problem on your car. Here is a link to the thread in question:

I honestly think the underdrive crank pulley cause the oil pump to break. There are people with 4V and 2V cars running 700-800 HP on stock oil pumps with no problem. From all the engine builders I have talked to and research i have done, the underdrive pulley creates alot of stress on the oil pump causing gears to break. The only real crank pulley I have seen not break oil pumps is the Innovative West Pulleys.

My guess its the crank pulley because usually a Supercharger running off the crank pulley will put more stress on the Oil Pump than the turbo.

mod motors are internally balance, So no, it was not the crank pulley... The biggest cause of failure for oil pumps is debris, I know that was the issue with my pump. You should check your bearings and make sure you did not hurt any of them.

Buddy of mine made 700hp on a stock pump turbo car with AN-10 drain with no issues, I was running an AN-10 as well and my stock pump failed.
