i want to get a shift kit fo my 1965 289 c4. where can i get one? what do i need?...

Should be able to get one from Summit. I used one from TCI(a different tranny). It was pretty straight forward for me. Standard tools and patience is all I needed. Are you doing it on the car or off the car?

Also check with B&M. Another source is Performance Transmission, they make a lot of specialty items, including conversion parts for adapting an AOD

WELL I KNOW SOMEBADY THAT CAN DO ALL MY WORK CHEAP! but what parts do i need to buy??

The last time I did one, the B&M shift improver kit came with everything except trans fluid. Pick up about 6 quarts of type F fluid, a couple cans of brake cleaner for cleanup and maybe some gasket sealer. Pretty much all there is to the install is dropping the trans pan, removing the bolts holding the valve body in, then follow the instructions, take out the parts they tell you to, install the parts they tell you to and drill the hole where they tell you to. Most kits come with varying stages, I use the street/strip one which firms up the shifts without becoming harsh.
