How hard is it do install a shift light? I'm going to be buying the autometer shiftlight and i honestly don't know the first thing on how to do this. also i live in W.V. so the people here are definatly not going to know how to do it.. trust me.. the shops here are a joke..

Could anyone offer me any advice on how to do this and what all i need. I've installed everything on my car but that was with the assistance of my step dad who actually knows what he is doing and because i'm an extremely quick learner and know how to read directions.

Any help would be much appreciated. i'm planning on installing it on the top of the steering column so that it's hidden and right in my eyesight of my tach and speedo. thanks

I don't know about the Autometer one, but the Raptor shift light is easy to install. The Raptor website has good color installation instructions. If you get a Raptor instead, have some red 22 guage wire taps on hand.

I put one in my GT 4 years ago now...i think it was that long ago now,LOL.It was an easy install, but i can't remember what wire i hooked up to for the tach adaptor, but the shift light attaches to the adapter farely easilly.Just send an email to there tech with the proper info of you GT,or call them at this number off there website,Technical Support (Toll Free) 866.248.6357
,they will help you. They've help me a few times when i got stuck on an install with a couple of there products in the past, and they reply farely quickly.

do you install the tach adapter under the dash or engine bay or somewhere else?

You can install it where ever you want really.I put mine inside my GT near the heater box, almost behind the stereo area to keep it clean looking, and ran the wires threw the firewall.
