I was wondering what rpm the rest of you npi guys shift at. I seem to have the best results if i shift at about 5300-5500. Im thinking about getting a shift light so im thinking ill set it at 5300. Anyone shift at a different rpm? Anyone know what the best shift point really is on these npi cars?

5300-5500 sounds a bit high thats normally what the 99+ guys shift at becaues they keep making more power. Heres a dyno graph of mine when I had all NPI stuff with a SCT, flowmaster catback, and O/R H-pipe. Its actually pretty good right up to about 5000 or so with those mods on my dyno graph but then it starts to drop after that.

By your dyno slip it looks like i should try shifting at about 5000 on the dot too. I'll give it a try and see if i notice a difference.

He said that was a dyno graph from when he had those mods. If you look now, he has Port and Polished Swapped heads, and is making 240+ rwhp

Yea I'm making a little more power now than I was on that dyno graph From my dyno graph shifting at 5000 seems like it would be the best but its kinda hard to go off of somebody elses dyno graph. I would just try 5000 at first and then try moving it up and down a little bit and see what works the best for you. I shift at 6000 now once I get some cams and 4.10's I'm hoping to move the revv limiter up to 6500 and then I can have some real fun

You also have the PI intake and a couple of other mods. The PI Intake alone is a good 10-20 rwhp up top.

I generally get between 5300-5500 on my shifts. I like to be up a couple of hundred RPMs in the 'power zone' (over 3k RPM) in the next gear.

My best runs were shifting at 5000 or a little below. I tried a few runs above 5000 when I did my intake swap and it didn't make much difference.

Now that my cams are in I can tell there is a good pull until at least 5500 so when I get a chance to go to the track I'll try it out.
