Shifter For 01 Gt Auto?

Can anyone tell me if the B&M HAMMER shifter will work on a 2001 GT with an AODE tranny? If so, is it an easy install? Thanks.

Works on my 2000 GT 4R70W. I didn't do the install myself.

There is a button on the lower right side of the shifter you can use. I moved mine to a Radio Shack button on the console, just in front of the cup holder.

I think B&M part number BMM-81001 is the shifter that will work on the 2001 GT. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

That's the correct one for the 2000GT. I don't know any reason it wouldn't work for the 2001 also.

I am curious as well... i tried calling them a while ago, and they didnt tell me anything. I really dont know what would be different, except for the od button, which shouldnt even matter. If you find out, make sure you post what you find!!

I called B&M a while ago and asked about it fitting an 02, and they said that it wouldn't but did not tell me why.

I think MGW also makes a shifter for the automatic.

They make shifter handles, but I don't think they make a shifter.
