Is my transmission going bad?? My shifter in the center console makes drivetrain noise kind of. Its annoying when im just driving around. What is this from? Do I have to adjust my firewall adjuster somewhat or something. It vibrates and just makes like that grinding noise, but i dont think its grinding.

All aftermarket shifters produce more noise, even the fabled MGW. :p I installed the factory shift handle on my Tri-Ax and it's pretty much silent. :nice:

It never really made noise before, maybe I have to tighten the handle again. I have the steeda tri ax.

bump stop screws?

yes, most aftermarket shifters come with adjustable screws that you use to prevent over shifting. If not adjusted properly, certain gears will not engage fully, and that is very very bad... Come to think of it, all 99+ GTs should not use the stop screws supplied with the shifter, as the Tremec T-45 and TR3650 have integrated stops.
