dose a steeda shifter from a 99 gt work on the 00-04. im asking this becuase i belive they changed the tranny

99-mid 01 had T-45 and late 01-04 had T 3650

So put it simply, the 99 shifter wil work if you have a T45 and the car is a 99-mid 01. If its 02 -04 it definetly won't work.

T-45 and T-5 shifters are the same, so a 99 shifter would work on an 2004 V6 Mustang with a T-5.
