shifting into second gear

Hey guys i have a quick question. Last night i went to the track and when i was coming out of first and pulled into second it was like it wouldnt go all the way back into second gear and would lag and then grind like a motha fu.....! I can not figure it out. Even in the staging lanes i would p[lay with it and sometimes the car would go all the way into second and other times it just would go all the way in. You guys have any ideas. And could this be a warrenty issue. If so would i have to take my off road pipe off to take it to ford?

the dealership can't deny you warranty service because you added mods to your car.. but if they can prove a problem is being caused by the mod they can deny your service.
