Shifting sound..

Just had my dads friend who owns a car audio shop install my new head unit..

And now the sound is decent half the time and the other half its up front or in the back..

Whats the problem??

Any help asap would be appreciated!!!

What year is your 'stang? What kind of system did you have from the factory? (Mach 460?) What exactly was installed? Wich wiring harnesses were used?

Mach 460.

The Metra 71-1771 ( I think..)

And all for now is a sony Xplod CD Player.. ( I know its not the best but.. Yeah..)

The "part time problems" are usually the hardest to diagnose. I'd start by double checking wiring. Was the deck new or used? I assume this problem wasnt present with the factory head unit. Leading me to believe that it's probably the aftermarket deck or the way it was interfaced. If you have any developments, post them as they can help in the diagnosing process.

Resolved..

I went to another local audio shop and got the metra wiring harness for an '02 WITH RCA's..

So yeah I appreciate all of your help.

And I thought I'd give my two cents =]

Good deal, I could get on my soap box about not feeding mach amps high level signals, but I'll refrain. Glad to help, and glad it's fixed.
