shocks or struts

i need to replace my rear shocks and i thought that i should do all of them. i called ford to see if i have shocks or struts in the front. the guy said i have shocks. i called o'reilys and the said that they have struts for my car. so now i'm confused. do we have shocks or struts??

your struts are in the front and the shocks are in the back. As far as i know nothing has changed, you cant always believe what the wacky dealership says.

We have what I've heard Ford call "A modified Mcpherson strut system" in the front..... Plain old shocks in the back. In case you haven't checked the prices yet, ONE front strut will cost more than BOTH rear shocks combined.

Try here for MACH 1 and Bullitt shocks/struts at a reasonable price. www.fordpartsnetwork.com and also try here at Stangnet.

Yeah the bullitts are Tokicos non-adjustable. I have them, didnt kill my ride, but it was definitley a lot stiffer

And better for lowered rides at a somewhat cheaper price than adjustables. Although I think the Bullitts are good for lowering as well.
