what do all of you have as far as shocks, struts, or coilovers go?...im in the market for a new suspension...looking for something that handles really good...i'll sacrifice ride quality in a heart beat for handling...looking for front and rear...that i can run on the street, 1/8th mile strip, and possibly a road course if i ever run across one...

Go with the bullitt suspension upgrade. Theres an article comparing the bullitt, cobra and mach 1. The bullitt had awesome handling. one of the guys testing the cars is into bmw's and he said it handles almost as well as his M3.

Heres a link to the kit: http://www.stangmods.com/Bullitt-Suspension-Package-p/00700-m5400a.htm

thanks man...that looks like a really good setup...but i am looking for the lowest drop i can possibly get...the H&R springs have an advertised drop of over 1.5 inches around...i know its usually more once they set...but my car sits oddly tall...and i have 18's with 265/35r's...

i went with the eibach pro street coilovers.a bit pricey new,but i got a good deal used.the ride is much firmer than stock, very little body roll in the turns.it's my daily driver and i find the ride is fine except on very rough roads around town.here's a couple of pics, before and after.

before with 1 1/2 drop springs.17 in wheels.

with coilovers.17 in wheels

I have StangSuspension.com series II springs (2" drop front and rear) paired with Mach 1 spec Tokicos. It handles awesome and I didnt pay very much at all. $190 for springs and around $125 for used struts/shocks.

I also have subframe connectors, camber/caster plates, and tubular upper/lower control arms.

i am not at all happy with my coil overs. they rattle like crazy through the neighborhood. it is extremely annoying. i am actually having them taken out today and having stock springs put back in. i should still get a drop though because my motor is probably heavier than a stock motor, and the springs going in are for a coupe, and i have a vert.

so if you go with coil overs, make sure you get good ones or you may find yourself unhappy later.

wade, do you scrape over every speed bump in town? i did when i had my 2" drop springs from intrax

actually, i've scraped on more speed bumps when i had my 1.5" drop springs on. maybe i'm just more careful this time around. only exception is hitting a steep driveway while pulling into mcdonalds. broke my rear swaybar!!!

Below is a list of my suspension mods and I am very pleased with the handling and overall performance of the car. I dont worry about speed bumps or anything like that as I have never bottomed the car out and the roads here in new england are not the greatest.

SUSPENSION AND BRAKES:
Steeda aluminum lower control arms
FRPP upper control arms
Eibach Pro kit
Tokico shocks and struts
Steed bumpsteer kit
Steeda STB
Steeda end links
Steeda front and rear sways
MM subs
MM aluminum rack bushings
MM steering shaft
MM caster camber plates
Comp engineering adj. pinion snubber
Cobra brakes frnt and rear
Drilled and slotted rotors
stainless lines

This is how she sits w/ listed suspension mods.

check the insulator between the steering shaft and rack & pinion, or the bearing that is on the steering shaft at the firewall.

RC- a PHB keeps the rear end centered, I dont have one but i hear it's a very good upgrade

the bullit kit is great for a budget buildup but if you really want to handle well I would go with MM coilovers w/ bilsteins.
