Short Belt on V6 to V8 swap
Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum. I drive a Mark VII but am finishing a 3.8 to 5.0 swap on a 96 V6 Mustang (trust me it's not as easy as people say it is, especially if you use a complete fox 5.0 instead of the SN-95 5.0).
Anyhow, I have been looking around for definitive answers on what size belt should be used on the 94-95 accessory pulleys when eliminating A/C and Air Pump. I've heard estimates around 80" but nothing concrete.
Secondly: How can I trick the system into thinking that the EGR Valve is constantly closed and hence avoiding the "Check Engine" light? I know that there are kits for this but I'm pretty sure that one can be made with an extra connector that fits the EGR connector.
Lastly: Can I just leave the EGR plate and EGR Valve (remeber this is a 93 style EGR Valve) on the intake and just block off the vaccuum to it?
Thanks guys.
