SHORT SHIFTER

I would only upgrade if I was going from a stock shifter. I don't see the point of replacing a perfectly good tri-axe or pro5.0. Both of those are proven to be great shifters too. I doubt you will notice too much of a difference other than the adjustability of the MGW.

Yeah however adjustable it is, you're going to end up with one setting you like and leave it there....which you could achieve with a custom handle like i use. I have a buddy who works with steel a lot and i had him take a Tri-ax handle and use it as a template, but then modified it in reach/angle to how i like it.

I have the MGW shifter. Nice piece, way less vibration, firm shifts, very tight shifter. Although Im not all to fond of the orange handle compared to some of the other shifters Ive used. I'm going to try and find a blue handle. However, VERY nice piece.

I have a hurst....like others have said it sucks. The shifter itself is awkward looking and it pails in comparison to the steeda trix-ax in my friends 5.0 as far as feel. I do like the bronze base though

I run a Pro 5.0 and my brother runs a steeda Tri-ax, and i prefer the pro 5.0 over the tri-ax. I do like the adjustability of the MGW and tri-ax handle but i think the pro-5.0 is a really nice piece too. Either one of those three and you wont be disappointed.

i had the hurst on my t-5 was pretty good, now have a tremec 3550... those few days i had the stock tremec shifter on were rough ....i do not like that mushy feel at all. changed it to the pro 5.0, now i can slam the gears like a f**kn lunatic !

holy crap! you guys are the bomb!! i ask one question and i get all these responses!! im going to check into all those shifters! thanks guys!! **this is going to take forever**
