What is the difference? There's several choices pro 5.0, steeda tri ax, Hurst has several MGW I give up what is good about one and not the other? Which is the best for the least amount of money? If used for just a daily driver and not for the track? Which is a good one just in case you want to go to the track but for mostly DD? Opinions needed thanks Jimmy

Short throw shifters are all pretty much up to personal taste!
I went through the same thing and got dozens of opinions.....
steeda tri-ax
pro 5.0
would be my two recommendations, based off of the number of people that use them

MGW seems to be the best and thats why i ordered one on Thursday! There have been people with Tri-Ax's and Pro 5.0's switching to the MGW

MGW is a quality product. The fit and finish were unreal.

I'd say all the ones mentioned are solid products. Some people may have issues with one or the other, but overall they're all quality. But MGW is still the best....why you may ask.......the world will never know.

I had triax and decided to try out and all mighty expensive MGW shifter....
MGW looked great, very quiet, nice short throw!!

Started missing shifts, lost ET on the 1/4 mile, F*** MGW!, I sold that b1tch in less than two weeks and bought me another good old Steeda triax.

The MGW takes at least 2 weeks to get use to. The MGW takes more shift effort to engage each gear than the other shifters, which I like alot. To heck with those other noodle shifters. The few people that have driven my Mach are confused at first by my Blue Handle shifter. The shifts are so tight and short, they have no idea what gear their in.

I had a Triax, hated it so much I went back to stock, and havent been disappointed since. Maybe ill get an MGW one day, but right now, im content, and can shift the stock one better than I EVER did with the TriAx, and I dont miss third...

I'm doing just fine with the stocker, I just hate how sloppy it can be. The only time I really dislike it is the rowboat shift into 3rd at the track, other than that I would keep the stocker. Simply for the sheer number of happy people using an MGW, thats the one I will order when I get one.

I had an MGW on my GT and really loved it, no complaints at all.

However I think Im going to go with a Tri-Ax on my bullitt for two reasons: 1. I like the way it feels 2. I can use a Roush handle which will add a real classic look to the interior of the car

Never tried a Pro 5.0

I love my Pro 5.0, it feels very solid and the shifts just feel like they lock in to place. No experience with others.

We go over this topic every week, and every week MGW wins...

MGW hands down...

Here is my install... http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=528042

Shop ebay for a Blue or Red handle though if you don't like the Orange.

George is gonna be a legend in 5 years...
