We've used the pro 5.0 short shifter several times. Works well, but remember that as you shorten the throw, the effort to shift necessarily goes up. I've seen several miss 2-3 because of that. These are not the best shifting trannys around.

I've got just over 110K miles on my T45 with a Steeda TriAx and like it just fine. Handle adjusts to two different heights, I personally like the taller position.

I'm waiting on a Hurst SST with chrome stick to come in right now, I like the look of the chrome stick better and just wanted to see how it compared to the Steeda.

Broken shift forks to boot...

I have the Tri-ax and it is OK but hear good things about the MGW shifter.

MGW. The most positive shift feel and shortest shifter i have ever felt on any car so far. I love it.

MGW hands down. Not only does it have the shortest throw. It's sturdy, smooth and you can rotate the handle 360 degrees. I had a Pro 5.0 and a Steeda before and out of the 2 I like the Pro 5.0 Better.

The Steeda was notchy, uncomfy and didn't feel sturdy. I have a T-45 and I love how the MGW feels, I've never missed the 2-3 shift and I can even chirp the tires doing so.

+1 for MGW, I had the Tri-Ax and hated it. Had the Pro 5.0 it was ok, hurst sucked. Thid MGW is a joy! It has stronger springs so finding third is a no brainer and the adjustable position puts the stick right in your hand.

Best shifter IMO

I don't get these responses. Isn't the opposite of notchy, sloppy? Isn't that what we're eliminating by getting rid of the stock shifter? Can someone explain notchy to me?

I like it too. We use the heavy spring set rather than the light ones, so that hitting third is easy. Only problem is short throw = high effort, so you have to be sure and "shift it" else you "miss it"...

Used all except the MGW.

Pro5.0 is my vote, with the Tri-Ax right behind.

You can not go wrong with either.

Ive had the Pro 5.0 and the Triax and like the Pro 5.0 a little better. They are about the same though.

Firefox has a built in spell checker you know.... Unfortunately, it doesn't account for grammar.
