I have a steeda tri-ax in my 97' and compared to stock, it is a night and day difference. My buddy has a Pro 5.0 in his stang, which honestly feels the same to me, maybe a bit "looser," but no major difference.
I have seen tons of similar threads on all types of mustang forums and the general consensus is always:
#1 Mgw
#2 Steeda
#3 Pro 5.0
I love my Steeda, it is a billion times better than stock. Wish I had the $ to try a Mgw but I am plenty contempt with mine. I have driven with a hurst and it was just meh.
Hell, even putting a different handle on the stock shifter base makes an improvement. I went for a year with a bushingless aftermarket handle on the stocker before going to the MGW and even that made shifting much better
