Hey guys,
I'm putting the shortblock together in my 87 after new rings and bearings and I forgot how to line up the flywheel with the crankshaft and harmonic balancer. Well I know the harmonic balancer has the key that lines it up but how do you know what position to install the flywheel on the crankshaft. I did mark it before I took it all apart by the mark was removed accidentally when the flywheel was cleaned up. Any information would be great and also I'm gettin a new harmonic balancer and do I need the sfi certified one or can I just get a stock replacement. The motor has a bigger cam and ported stock heads and I plan to spray it. Any info would be great.
