shortblock question.

how many ft lbs should it take to rotate a shortblock? thanks.

ft lbs I dont know but it shouldn't take any effort at all to rotate a short block considering there will be no compression because there are no heads on it.

Depends on the ring package, temperature and clearances. I built low tension set-ups that only take 9lbs, I've done others that were 40lbs.

well every thing is bran new and the machine shop that i had file the rings did the rings for street/strip applications i was thinking somewhere in the 30-40 range.
