It's a 1993 Red LX 5.0, and it has only 73k miles on it. New tranny (auto) and driven by and older guy. He is selling it for 3000, but said he would come down in price. What do yall think? Good deal or not? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Absolutely. Get it before someone else snags it away.

Well, I just test drove it around town and it seems a lot slower than my 95. It also cut off twice when I cranked it up initially. The owner said it needs a tune up and that should end the problem. But after that it ran pretty good. Under the hood looks alright and it has power everything. The guy said he would let it go for about 2700, which is a little bit below the NADA price quote. Need any kind of input from yall. Thanks

England? If that is the case then I would say snag it up for that price. Just check the guages and see if that is in kilometers or MPH. Either way not bad but if you are from the US and plan on returning you might have to make some changes to get it back in the states.
For the price assuming that the guys is honest it is a good deal. About the car being slow, throw in some 4.10s, and 2200-2400 stall converter and a nice shift kit and it will wake right up.
Good luck!
