Should i buy these headers?????

I found a fello mustang fan who is selling some long tube headers. He says that they are 1 5/8" long tubes that come in pieces so that you dont have to pull the engine out in order to install them. I was just curious if that for $125 they would be a good deal. I wanted long tubes to begin with so i am very interested. But do you think 1 5/8 is too big for a stock stang. I do plan on an HCI setup by February so the needed breathing room is necessary. HOwever do i have to weld these headers together or is it all flanges and nuts and bolts? thanx.

u dont have to pull the engine to install longtubes headers....

well at least life it up. anyways do you have to weld em in? Or just slip the individual tubes into the flange and slide the collector on and be done with it?

what brand are they? Pull the motor to install LT's????????

you dont have to pull the motor to install LT's, though lots of people drop the front crossmember and put their car on a lift and disconnect the steering shaft and get a smaller starter and have to put dents in the header to clearance them, definately a huge pain in the ass that could make pulling the motor easier in some situations

anyone had to do this stuff too? is there a brand of long tube that is easy to install on a fox body? i dont think that there is

Seems like its a lotta work to have to put the pipes together...
