I am thinking of buying this tomorrow. 2001 GT 'vert. What do you think. Be a nice mate for my 67 FB.

Don't know how old you are, but I'd certainly check the insurance situation before you leap. Most insurers are paranoid about young drivers in hot Mustangs.

lets just say, I am closer to my 20 year reunion than my 10 year. no tickets since 1999.

I'd say if you can afford it, which obviously you can if you're considering it, do it. You only live once. Enjoy it.

go ahead if you want...but the newer GT's are a completely different breed from the vintage iron we all know and love so much

True, should been talk. Sorry. Caught up in the excitement. BTW, dealer is closed today, have to wait till Monday, maybe the urge will pass before then.

And no I am not selling the FB ("The Blue Bitch), my wife told me I can't sell it, she like to ride around in that car (when it is running).

Ultimate plan is an '07...then I have a 40 year pair. I currently have a VW Jetta, and have not been impressed with the Mexican "quality" of the vehicle (assembled in Mexico). So I am going to try and worka good trade-in, and get some American quality.
