With the tfs1 cam and unported gt40 heads with a tmoss stock gt ported lower, 3.73's, pullies I went like 13.5 @ 102 untuned with a 2.2 60ft (1st an only time that combo went to the track, I avg. like a 2.0 60 before this). The car felt stock ish or maybe alittle bit softer until 2500-3000rpm then it would come alive and just take off almost felt like a 50shot hittn'.

If you plan on diff. heads in the next 1-2 years I would get a small shot of n2o to hold you over if you want some gains on what you have. Then when you get the heads get a cam for those heads and that setup. Plus that n2o will put you ahead of the game with the stock setup, and with the H/C/I so your getting to use it again.

i would just leave the stock camin there and put on that ported lower knowing what astock cobra lower looks like i think there is power to be had by just port matching it the stock cam is good for making power unless all you want is the lope from the aftermarket cam

Having said all that, you can't disregard a power adder as an option to up the gain.

A Supercharger was my FIRST mod. (Actually, the Tweecer was, but that was me thinking ahead a little bit.....)

I still have the stock Gears....

A complete upgrade to the next level will make a difference as well .............
but not a huge one

See where I'm going here

Maybe a low level of boost or tiny shot of giggle gas

Decisions ...... Decisions ...... Decisions ......

i agree with grady here, if i had left my longblock alone and added a vortech i would be making more power right now for about the same amount of money i spent on my afr/tfs1 combo.

granted now i have a vortech and the afr/tfs1 combo and new graphite head gaskets, balancer, t/b, afpr, etc...
