Ive had my '86 mustang gt for no more than a 2 weeks now and my friend has a '78 CJ5 and hes interested in do a straight up trade. He just sold it on ebay and the deal fell through so I have the links to the closed auctions to both vehicles (mine and his). Tell me who you think would be getting a better deal and if I should trade at all. BTW, he doesnt know how much I paid for my car.

Here's my Mustang

it's a crappy trade unless you are in the market for a cj, and if you were, would you have bought a mustang in the first place?

If you really want the jeep, maybe try posting in a jeep forum to get the answers you want. Maybe one out of fifty here will say to trade.

Ha, thats why I posted it here...I posted this exact thread in a jeep forum first, and of course all the answers where smart. So they said post it in a mustang forum, and of course all the answers where biased.

I think in the end Ill probably trade, because I could turn around and sell that jeep for $4500 easily, I couldnt get any more than $3000 for my car.

If it was me, I'd trade, sell the jeep and use the profit to put back into another Mustang.
