i see tons of 2.3 turbo volvos for 300-600 bucks should i use one as a donor? i have read somewhere someone was running a c4 as a tranny and it holds well should i grab one or stick with the stock auto tranny off a volvo? im looking into modding the 2.3 with parts from stinger performance with this swap being planned what should i look out for besides the engine? is my stock driveshaft and rear end still good for the swap? will wiring be an issue? please let me know thanks

funny, I dont have any problem going up hills...heh, in response to your question though, I say go for it, from what I hear the Volvo engines are as strong as the Ford engines...besides, quite a few come with aluminum heads(lighter weight and better detonation resistance) although I ant comment on what transmissions work with them..and one other advantage to a Volvo engine...the B234F head bolts right on if you plan to go that route at some point

lol just found out the problem my fat foot didnt make the tiny gas pedal go down all the way
has decent amount of power being a 91 105hp not bad compared to my old 89 notch with the 88hp lol

i want to try this set up the engine sounds so mean nearly mean as a v8 so where can i find a b234 volvo dohc head? which specific model volvo should i look for? should i still get the turbo engine or stick with my n/a? seems like this guy did alot of fabrication (for the twin turbos) to make it work from what i understand all that matches is the bolt pattern on the head and 2.3 lima is there any much difference from my 2.3 to a 2.3 lima im wondering how many ponys the svo is pulling minus the turbo's because ill be good in the 200-300 range of hp since i miss the pull of my 5.0 sorry if i sound ahead of my self im just trying to keep my options open to pick a nice sounding set up

its a huge amount of work to put that head on the ford block(I dont reccomend it unless you like headaches like me)...I'm going to be doing it, but its so much easier if you use the volvo block, way too much fabrication, even with the volvo block you are looking at fabricating a turbo manifold at the very least
