I don't give a s**t what country the car was made in. Putting performance parts and/or upgrading the appearance on a pos econobox (that includes neons :D) is still considered rice :notnice:. Also, reserving the term "rice" specifically for Japanese cars seems a little racist :nono: .

This is pure 100% fail!!!
Going by your point of view all the post ww2 vets that came back and bought model t's and model A's crammed buick nailheads in them and went to the salt flats are ricers. Let's take a look at some rice and do some name droppin Shall we.
Ricers: AKA econo box's from the past

Mr. Norm's did the Mopars
Yenko did chevy's
And the worst ricer of the bunch:
Shelby took a econobox mustang and turned it into a American icon!!! Then twenty years later built a four banger that was faster than anything else you could buy that year With the GLHS Omni.

I guess by your standards I will proudly wear my ricer badge. If putting the most power I can into the smallest, lightest package I can get hold of is rice, Hot Rod mag should change the name of there rag to Ricer Illustrated. Now excuse me while I go find a Gremlin to put a LS6 and 6 speed into.

ANYMORE PEOPLE WANT CHECKS BY YOUR NAME???

Sorry Strype. I didn't go looking for the debate. The same guy came here looking to start it.:notnice:

As for your check list it is a bit short. Some bastage that goes by the name Strype is missing from your list.

There's a guy I went to school with that has a teggy (integra) that runs in the 7's in the 1/8 mile. Looks TOTALLY stock.

That's a guy who likes hondas and wants to spend the money and time on a car he likes.

Then there is a guy I know with the word "Ford" in some shape or fashion on his car *counts* 7 times at least. Well that I can count.

Which one is the ricer?

Generally I'd say they both are. A "ricer" is a term that has so many meanings now it's rediculous.

I was in this same friend's (with the ford signs) old 87 or 89 t-bird which had a 302, exhaust and 3.73's when a guy in a R A B B I T came revving his motor and we pissed our pants laughing.

Well Craig- my buddy- hit the gas and launched at a red light. All of the sudden I heard a sound that was like a lawn mower with a turbo the sizr of the motor come flying by us... He literally made us look like we were sitting still.

We said "holy chit!" it's an ugly rabbit but kudos to him.

I've got a million stories like that. Whatever goes fast is cool with me, just don't advertise it.

Judging from all the bulls**t you spewed out on this thread i'd say YOU need to educate yourself :nono: .

I suggest you post in the the civic forums. That way you can talk to and/or receive support from others who have the same interest for dumping money and adding performance parts to ugly a$$ s**tboxes :D .

Why is it every time I start a thread you haft to come around and try swinging your HUGE E-penis? I own six cars and drive a hundred miles a day. The neon get 10mpg better then any of the rest. I wonder why I choose to drive it:rolleyes:

For your further clearification. The Dart was not a muscle car it IS the economy car of the Chrysler line up from 1963-1976.

You ran your mouth about a camaro. I didn't say anything about a camaro. I posted a pic of a Yenko Nova. The nova and chevy2 were the econo cars in the chevy line in the sixtys and early seventys.

And as for the mustang. You do know that a 64.5 mustang IS a 62 falcon. Ford took an existing economy car and gave it a face lift. All in an effort to get women buyers. Shelby took the base line econo car and turned it into what it is today. Shelby started the pony wars and forced chevrolet to create the camaro to compete with it. :flag:
