I am looking into a auto tranny for my car. I want a overdrive with lock-up. No problem right? Did I mention the car is making 1200hp? So I found one. A 4L80E with all the goods, trans brake, remains fully auto, AEM will control shift points, lockup, kick down ect... Here's the kicker. $8000.

I'm so sad.

damn.......just throw a t-5 in there, you get overdrive then also.

Holy crap Jay. I thought a trans that would stand up to such power would cost you a pretty penny, but not that much! DAMN! Good luck and I hope you find an alternative.

with a 1,200hp engine....I can see it now the trq. from the engine startup will prob. be enough to break it LOL

i would never in my life pay $8,000 for a transmission--even it took me out to dinner and gave me suky-suky. think about it--that's a cobra, or a gt + mods!
