Side Exhaust changes

I was going to get custom exhaust using race bullets or something bent up and made to replace my Borla side exhaust, but its proving hard to locate the parts. Does anyone know where I can buy the 2000 Cobra R style tips? Also, do you have any other suggestions as to what mufflers i should use ( I want LOUD, but not a *****ty sound like straight pipes). Aside form the rest of the question, If I can't find all the components I need, I was going to try to just temporarily replace the mufflers in the cat back with SpinTechs, does anyone know if SpinTech would fit and if it would be louder? Sorry for the long question guys...

Copy this number and paste it in Ebay's search bar, 7932999471. This is a cool Idea for side exhaust! I have seen the cobra R tips on there too but the were $250, Ouch,
As far as spintech goes, I dont recomend them, They were loud but didn't have a very nice sound, they were also twice as heavy as my flowmasters.

That system looks exactly like what I wanted to have made! I assume those are Magnapacks judging by the shape. The only concern I have is if the tips would fit through the holes in my side exhaust skirts. If anything, this has shown me I can use a split tip, but it doesn't have to be angled like the Borla ones. Thanks for the link!

after seeing the system snail showed me, I realize I can have this system made pretty easily. The question now is, what muffler should I use? I want LOUD, I want the rumble even when it is only idling. I dont want the "it sounds not much louder than stock except for at WOT" I want it loud all the time. I also don't want something so loud that it will be illegal, and it shouldn't sound like crap. Any suggestions?

i have a similarly constucted system on my 4.6. I used the straight through borla mufflers that dont have the baffles and added hooker chrome tips which look kind of like that system on ebay. These 2 things paired with an off-road H pipe def wake the neighbors up and rumble the car when its just idling, i love it. Hope yours works out.

I was thinking towards the dynomax race bullets cuz I know they will be loud, and theyre pretty inexpensive. But does anyone think this will be just too loud with my BBK off-road H? I dont want to do all this work and have it not be driveable.

Roush has an expensive sidepipe set with their pretty tips of various years.

Kind of off topic, I'm looking at getting side pipes and was wondering if they caused the rear wheels to get dirty with exhaust? Also I am planning on sub-frame connectors and want both to work without hanging out under the car.

my current borla system doesn't get the wheels dirty. I know alot of brands of subframe connectors say *not for use with side exhaust* so make sure whatever subframe connectors you get, that they are made to have clearance for the piping. Even with a kit made for use with side exhaust, i am guessing there still may be a ground clearance issue, just guessin, i dont have connectors.

Race bullets are way loud, I wouldn't use them If you have an offroad midpipe, But I bet they would be perfect if you have cat's on the car.
