Side exhaust question

If i was to put a side exhaust kit on my mustang, does the exhaust get all over the rear rims? My dad says it will get all over them and make them filthy Anybody have one on their car?

hey man just my .02 , don't go with side exhaust. 90% of them hurt performance and dont even sound that cool. If you want to do something a little different from the standard rear pipes, go with some mac or spintech dumps. They look way cooler from the back and sound BAD A$$. I'm not saying side exhaust isnt cool, b/c it is pretty nice. I would just avoid doing anything that isnt going to help performace, especially for the money.

I had the spintechs with off road h-pipe, never had a problem and received lots of thumbs up on the sound. It did not hurt my performance, however I was running full length headers.

You might be more concerned about them dragging on speed bumps, etc. I love the Roush Mustangs with sidepipes though.

see, what i really want is dumps. But my dad wont let me have dumps because he said when ur driving down the street with ur windows closed and the exhaust comes up etc etc. Cuz i wanted the exhasut to be heard from all around the car, not just out the back. Thats why i was thinking side exhaust might get the sound around the car more?
