I really want to put side exhaust on my 87 vert does anyone know if this will work? Im bone stock and i want to give it a little more aggressive sound and make it look cooler :D . If all goes as planned I want to turn the pipes out diagonally towards the back before the rear wheels keeping basically the stock setup and put like 2 1/2 or 3" chrome tips coming out below my ground effects. Would that warp them at all? I know its close coming out the back of the car but i dont want to hurt my poor little side effects. I have seen someone before on e-bay with custom side skirts with a rectangular tip coming through it. It looked really cool but he wouldnt tell me where he got them from....

I think that Spintech now makes a side exhaust for the fox. They also have their own subframe connectors with notches so that they will clear side pipes, that is if sub frames are in your future plan

spintech's site lists a mustang side exit catback system for "all" mustangs 67-01? how the hell can they do that? Either way it cant be that tough, you could have any muffler shop fabricate some side exits with the spintech mufflers.

I love the way side exhaust looks on a fox. Its different and thats always a plus. Here is a car that was at Bristol, FFW. I got the pic from MustangDarens website. I hope he dont mind, but I didnt have a camera to take a pic of it. I might try it sometime in the future.:nice:

If you still want Flowmaster mufflers, they now make a muffler with the inlet and outlet on the same side. Part number is 52580. It is an 80 series muffler. I will be doing the same thing. They are about $130 each though
