Side mirror Project

Hello everyone, I am in search of the dimensions to the side mirrors on the 99-up model. A Unigraphics Cad file would be perfect but I am working at creating Side mirror deletes. Nice ones. Any help to where i could find information on specs. would greatly be thanked. I could always just measure but the more specific to oem the better. I'm going to be Rapid prototyping the final models i create, 2000 grit sanding, priming and painting black. Thank you.

Umm, don't you need those? I guess for a trailored show/race car that would be cool, but are these for street cars?

Needed? depends on the driver, if i get into trouble for not having them i will fabricate new ones that mount onto the top of the front fenders (sort of like old jaguars) I don't use them ever and i find them really ugly. No side mirrors really improve the lines of the car in my opinion. Any diminsions? Anybody? *CAD FILES*? Please

how dont you use them while driving? do you turn your head all the way around to see if you can switch lanes on the highway?

Well to quickly answer your question that has no regard to the posted questions. I have a 8" indash video screen with duel micro video camera's mounted in the rear deck in turn i have set to play through a split screen setup on my modded xbox running linux. Thats why I don't need the side mirrors. Thank you for your input but i think i just have to break down and diminsion them and render the models myself. grrr oh Well It will just give me something to do at work.

well i would like to thank DerekStangGT for seeing my perspective. Call it electro-rice if you want, i don't see why not i mean it is off kilter but i am a geek and we geeks do things differently. Also I agree to shoot this thread it was completely useless.

Just out of curiosity, what does Ford use on Mustangs sold in Japan? Don't they require the mirrors to be on the fenders??? I am only bringing this up because if Ford already makes such a set of conversion parts, it might be easer to get those than to fab your own.

yay for geeks I think the camera idea is pretty cool, do you have pictures of the setup or could you email them to me? It's rather optimistic looking for CAD files from this place
