Side Molding removal?

Hey guys,
I have an 02 Vert that has those ugly side moldings (the little plastic strip that protects the doors from shaopping carts and such) I was wondering if their removable? Does anyone knwo if there riveted on or sticky taped on? I dont want to yank em off unless I can be sure that i wont leav any small holes in the door! Thanks!

I think those strips are not riveted- they're just glued, but Ford uses some uber-glue to put them on. I wouldn't try taking them off unless you are planning a repaint. Some of the paint might come off with them.

Get a heat gun or a blow-dry and slowly peel them off.

But I can almost gaurantee that the paint underneath won't match the rest the car.
