Signs of bad Fuel Pressure Regulator?

I'm just curious what the signs/symptoms of a bad or failing fuel pressure regulator are. Was just reading through posts and did a search and didn't find anything really.

Theres different things. One thing is a reg does is it keeps pressure in the system after you shut the car off. If it takes forever to start after just shutting it off means the O-rings bad!

Generally: a bad diaphram (gas getting into the manifold vacuum line), and passing too much fuel back to the tank are the two biggies I can think of.

the psi fluxuates or is low, and or it is leaking

so in other words, putting a fp gauge on there and watching it will tell you. If the pressure fluctuates or is low i could suspect the regulator.
