Silicone spray ok to use on radiator and engine hoses?

If for that shine look..I'd avoid it, dust LOVES to collect on the pasty surface and become a real pain to remove down the road.

They really don't need to be 'conditioned'...you can apply a marine rubber protectant with decent success, however anything you put on the hoses will collect dust and in my opinion become worse than it likely was initially. With my 04 I simply take the time to spray down the compartment once a week with water and maybe once every few months with simple green. If hose condition is an issue then you need to replace before your on the side of the road wishing you had.
